Turn interviews, meetings, webinars and other recordings into readable text. Define the format, review level and delivery requirements around how you will use the transcript.
Discuss your transcription needs ↗THE ROLE OF TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES
A recording can contain useful decisions, interview evidence or material for future content. Transcription makes that information easier to search, review and share with the people who need it.
The right output depends on the purpose. A readable meeting record, a verbatim research interview and an edited webinar transcript require different instructions. We clarify those choices before agreeing the work.
WHAT THE SCOPE CAN INCLUDE
Prepare speaker-labelled text from interviews and recorded discussions. Agree how pauses, repetitions and non-verbal details should be represented.
Create a text record of business discussions, presentations and Q&A sessions. Summaries or action lists are separate deliverables when requested.
Review an existing or automated draft against the supplied recording. Correct wording and speaker labels, with uncertain passages clearly marked.
Agree timestamps, headings, paragraph structure and document format. Organize the transcript for reading, research or subsequent content preparation.
WHAT TO SHARE
HOW THE WORK TAKES SHAPE
Assess the recording and confirm language, audio quality and delivery feasibility.
Set transcript conventions, file handling, review scope and turnaround.
Prepare the text, check against the source and flag unclear passages.
Provide the agreed files and resolve queries within the agreed revision scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REVIEW
Overlapping speech, background noise and unfamiliar terms can affect what can be recovered from a recording. Unclear words should be marked for review rather than filled in with guesses. Turnaround and review requirements are agreed after assessing the source.
Agree appropriate permissions and file-handling requirements before sharing recordings. Translation, certified transcripts, specialist medical or legal transcription, captions and substantive research analysis require a separate scope and suitability review.
BEFORE WE START
Clean verbatim removes selected fillers and false starts while preserving meaning. Full verbatim retains more of the original speech detail. We agree conventions for repetitions, pauses and other relevant features before starting.
Yes, these can be included in the agreed scope. Tell us the timestamp intervals you need and provide speaker names where available; uncertain identities are flagged rather than assumed.
Transcript review can be scoped against the original recording. Supplying the recording allows wording, omissions and speaker attribution to be checked; a text-only edit cannot verify what was actually said.
The scope depends on recording length, audio quality, speaker count, terminology, transcript style and review requirements. Share a representative sample and deadline so the work can be assessed.
They can provide source material for an agreed writing or research task. Turning that material into an analysis, article or proposal is a separate deliverable, with its own brief and approval.
